The Legends in M'Skala. Make it a point to visit if you are a foodie!

 As former colleagues who make it a point to reconnect over good food every couple of months, our recent Sunday lunch at The Legend in St. Thomas Bay, Maraskala, was nothing short of delightful.

Nestled by the tranquil shores of St. Thomas Bay, The Legend provided the perfect backdrop for our reunion, offering a cozy ambiance and stunning views of the sea.

Our culinary journey began with a hearty antipasto spread featuring an assortment of Maltese delicacies. Alongside the flavorful olives and homemade bread with tomato paste, we delighted in a variety of dips, local cheeses, and thin slices of smoked Maltese sausages.

As main courses, six of us opted for one of the restaurant's specialties, Majjalata (Pork Fest),, while the other six opted for the à la carte menu. I had the pleasure of experiencing the mature and tender taste of Buffalo meat for the first time, cooked rare to perfection. It was truly a dish to savor and remember. My other half indulged in a large portion of chicken breast adorned with creamy cheese, mushrooms, and bacon, a combination that left her thoroughly satisfied. Meanwhile, the others savored some nice cuts of beef, each cooked to their liking and one of the girls had some Octopus cooked in white wine and garlic.

The portions were impressively generous, to say the least. Our Majjalata dish, in particular, was enough to feed a small army, with ample pork to serve ten people instead of the intended six. Each dish was accompanied by fresh salads and lovely sauces on the side, adding a burst of freshness and flavor to every bite.

Throughout our leisurely four-hour lunch, we were delighted to take advantage of the fantastic offer of buy one, get one free cocktails. This offer is available daily between 1 pm and 7 pm, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience.

When we finished our meal, we were graciously offered the opportunity to move to the lounge area at the back of the restaurant. Here, we continued to enjoy our drinks in a more relaxed atmosphere, with a DJ playing soothing Funky soul music, creating the perfect ambiance to unwind and extend our delightful afternoon.

Throughout our meal, the attentive staff ensured that our glasses were never empty and that each dish was presented with care. Their warm hospitality added to the overall charm of the restaurant, making us feel right at home.

In conclusion, The Legend provided the perfect setting for our reunion, offering delicious food, impeccable service, and a relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to savor every moment together.
