What did you do this weekend! I visited 15 countries in less than 24 hours

Belgian Motorcyclist Sets World Record: Riding through 15 Countries in 1 Day

Last weekend, I had an extraordinary adventure. The topic of "long drives" had recently come up, and little did I know that I would stumble upon a remarkable story of Thierry Sarasyn, a Belgian enthusiast who loves pushing boundaries. He accomplished something truly awe-inspiring by visiting an astounding 15 countries in a single day on his motorbike.

Thierry's determination and passion for exploration led him to break his own previous record, which stood at visiting 13 countries in one day back in 2021. Despite initially declaring "never again," the allure of the challenge was too strong for him to resist.

The journey began in Poland and spanned across various European countries, including the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, and finally, Belgium. Covering such an extensive distance and exploring diverse cultures within 22 hours is a testament to Thierry's endurance and meticulous planning.

While on his Kawasaki 1000 SE, equipped with a powerful 1,043 cc four-cylinder engine generating 120 horsepower, Thierry tackled the roads with remarkable skill. Although not a superbike, this touring motorcycle proved to be the ideal companion for enduring long hours on the road.

Thierry's remarkable feat did encounter a minor setback when he encountered a closed tunnel in Austria, leading to an hour-long delay. Despite this obstacle, he managed to complete his journey well within the 24-hour timeframe.

Could there be further room for breaking this astounding record? Only time will tell. But for now, Thierry Sarasyn has etched his name in the history books, showcasing his unyielding spirit of adventure and passion for exploring new horizons.

Witnessing Thierry's incredible achievement has sparked a sense of wanderlust within me, and it serves as a reminder that there are no limits to what one can accomplish with determination and a love for exploration.
